Knife Dance

In the video Knife Dance the camera imitates the action of the photographed image; it nears and draws back like the movement of a knife being inserted and extracted, while the image itself – the woman holding the knife – remains fixed, like a camera on a tripod.
The camera moves from what is nearest to what is farthest. While close to the knife, the camera is blind to the thin blade, and the illusion is created that the knife is pointed into the woman’s breast. However, when it distances, it reveals a hidden image and suddenly we discover the blade is pointed in to the eye of the camera.
